Job summary

Huawei is seeking an experienced Customs Clearance Manager to lead a team handling 3rd-party brokers, ensure compliance with national and international trade laws, and optimize clearance processes for imports/exports. You will review duties taxes, validate HS Codes, and maintain import records.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years as licensed brokers, strong logistics experience, and excellent MS Office and Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed broker practitioner for at least 10 years, preferably in telecom industry.
• Proven experience in customs clearance, import/export operations, freight forwarding, and international logistics.
• Strong background in coordinating with customs brokers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and government agencies.
• Good relationship established in Customs or other government agencies involved in import/export.
• Ability to work in fast-paced operational environments and resolve customs-related issues efficiently.
• Knowledge of customs clearance procedures and international trade regulations.
• Familiarity with tariff classification, duties, taxes, and customs validation processes.
• Excellent in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint; preferably knowledge of Power BI.
• Good communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team in managing 3rd-party Customs Brokers to achieve target SLA in releasing of shipments and ensuring compliance to national customs and international trade laws and regulations (CMTA).
• Reviews and approves computations of customs duties & taxes to ensure accuracy of declarations prior filing to Bureau of Customs.
• Checks and validates product descriptions and HS Codes / Tariff Codes declaration of suppliers as stated in the shipping documents.
• Maintains and updates database of all imported goods of the Company and their corresponding tariff classifications.
• Ensures retention of all importation records in compliance to recordkeeping rules of BOC and BIR.
• Achieve timely, accurate and compliant processing of Customs entries, ensure proper processes are followed and communicated for timely release of imported goods, timely update of ATA_EVENTS, POD KPI, VAT payment KPI, post clearance SELF-CHECK assessment according to policies and procedures.
• Supervises daily customs clearance operations and manage escalations to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Develops and improve customs clearance processes, SOPs, and workflow efficiency initiatives.
• Provides guidance and training to team members to maintain high performance and compliance standards.]

Position Overview

Customs Clearance Manager, an expert in international trade regulations and customs compliance and assist companies with trade activities to import and export shipments.
