Job summary

SGS is seeking a Customer Master Data Management Specialist in Metro Manila to ensure quality, completeness, and timeliness of master data across systems. You will establish and maintain internal controls, review requests for errors, and remediate data issues to support business operations.

You will collaborate with country-based account management and other functions, drive data clean-up initiatives, and participate in UAT for defects and enhancements, backed by a solid data and finance systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business (required).
• 3+ years of professional experience in Master Data Management.
• Experience with financial systems; Oracle E-Business Suite a plus.
• Familiarity with MS Excel.
• Analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as a strong team player.
• Good understanding of data structures and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of Master Data setup and maintenance.
• Apply internal controls for master data records and remediate errors as needed.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality.
• Perform regular review and clean-up of master data.
• Support mastery data process improvement initiatives.
• Inform supervisors of issues or opportunities with customer data and maintain strong business contacts.

Customer Master Data Management Specialist

Responsible for quality, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of Master Data set up/maintained in the system. The MDM Specialist will also ensure that internal controls for master data records are in place and effective.

Ensure the integrity and accuracy of master data entry in the system without sacrificing timeliness in completing the process.

Interpret information correctly and able to make sound decisions to support the business while maintaining controls during set up.

Apply corporate rules and best practices when reviewing requests to identify errors in global data fields and rejects, escalates or remediates errors, if any.

Create or update existing documentation and training materials related to Master Data Management process.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent quality of data.

Perform regular review and clean-up of master data.

Ensure internal controls relating to maintenance of master data are in place and effective.

Support implementation of master data process improvement initiatives.

Informing Supervisors of any issues or opportunities with existing customers, such as outdated customer contact information.

Being the primary contact with the country-based account management team, commercial and other related departments/ / function

Manage and drive responsibilities to Master Data team, establishing strong relationships with business contacts, and making decisions based on results.

Perform user acceptance testing on defect resolution and enhancements.

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business

3+ years of professional experience in Master Data Management

Experience in financial systems (knowledge of Oracle E Business Suite is nice to have)

Familiarity with MS Excel

Analytical skills with high focus on the details

Demonstrate proper attitude in relation to assigned responsibilities

Able to work independently
