SGS is seeking an MDM Specialist to ensure quality, completeness, and timeliness of master data setup in our systems in the Philippines. You will maintain internal controls, interpret data accurately to support business decisions, and apply corporate rules to identify and remediate data errors.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, create/update documentation, and drive data-cleaning initiatives. Strong analytical skills, independence, and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Responsible for quality, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of Master Data set up/maintained in the system. The MDM Specialist will also ensure that internal controls for master data records are in place and effective.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of master data entry in the system without sacrificing timeliness in completing the process.
Interpret information correctly and able to make sound decisions to support the business while maintaining controls during set up.
Apply corporate rules and best practices when reviewing requests to identify errors in global data fields and rejects, escalates or remediates errors, if any.
Create or update existing documentation and training materials related to Master Data Management process.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent quality of data.
Perform regular review and clean‑up of master data.
Ensure internal controls relating to maintenance of master data are in place and effective.
Support implementation of master data process improvement initiatives.
Informing Supervisors of any issues or opportunities with existing customers, such as outdated customer contact information.
Being the primary contact with the country‑based account management team, commercial and other related departments/ / function
Manage and drive responsibilities to Master Data team, establishing strong relationships with business contacts, and making decisions based on results.
Perform user acceptance testing on defect resolution and enhancements.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business
3+ years of professional experience in Master Data Management
Experience in financial systems (knowledge of Oracle E Business Suite is nice to have)
Familiarity with MS Excel
Analytical skills with high focus on the details
Demonstrate proper attitude in relation to assigned responsibilities
Able to work independently
Strong team player
Good understanding of data structures and architecture
