Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or college graduate, banking training preferred.
• Proven experience as a bank teller or similar customer-facing retail role.
• Strong numerical and mathematical skills for cash handling.
• Excellent customer service with clear, professional communication.
• Proficiency in banking software systems and POS terminals.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing multiple transactions.
• Trustworthy with confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Process customer deposits, withdrawals and other transactions accurately.
• Verify cheques, cash and negotiable instruments per procedures.
• Balance cash drawers and reconcile end-of-day records.
• Provide information on accounts and available banking products.
• Cross-sell savings, investments and other retail offerings where appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to recommend suitable financial products.
• Resolve customer inquiries politely and promptly.
• Adhere to banking regulations and internal policies for security.
• Assist with clerical tasks within the branch.
