Job summary

As part of store operations, you will keep displays tidy, manage stock, process transactions at the POS, and handle returns with courtesy. Strong communication, basic math, and stamina are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is typically required; some employers may prefer an Associate's degree or prior retail/customer service experience.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with buyers.
• Math skills: Basic arithmetic and numerical accuracy to handle cash drawers, make change, and process transactions.
• Physical stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift weights up to 50 lbs for stocking.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly, identify their needs, and provide expert product recommendations and demonstrations.
• Meet or exceed sales targets by upselling, cross-selling, and informing customers about promotions or loyalty programs.
• Maintain the visual appeal of the sales floor, restock shelves, set up merchandise displays, and ensure accurate pricing tags.
• Operate POS systems to accurately process cash and card payments, handle returns, and issue refunds.
• Listen attentively to customer complaints and resolve them with empathy and professionalism.
• Stay fully updated on product features, specifications, and store policies to effectively answer customer queries.
