Job summary

Metrobank is seeking a Credit Review Officer to assess and recommend credit decisions for simple to complex proposals across individual, SME, and corporate borrowers. The role emphasizes financial analysis, credit scoring, and risk assessment to ensure lending standards are met.

The officer will prepare onboarding documents, validate financial data, apply scoring models, and collaborate with Relationship Managers to gather documentation, monitor accounts, and ensure timely credit reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of credit experience, preferably in commercial and corporate lending.
• Strong analytical skills and adept in reconstruction and interpreting financial statements.
• Ability to identify risks on the borrower and credit proposals.
• Strong work ethic and a high level of personal and professional integrity.
• An effective communicator with strong oral, written, and effective presentation skills.
• Computer literate, with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Completion of reports related to the handled credit portfolio

Responsibilities

• Provide initial credit decisions for straightforward applications.
• Process credit proposals accurately and within timelines.
• Make credit recommendations aligned with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare ERCA for onboarding and renewals.
• Validate financial data and perform reconstructions or projections.
• Assess credit risk and apply scoring models.
• Coordinate with Relationship Managers to gather documentation.
• Monitor accounts and maintain records for audits and reviews.
• Flag early warning signals and escalate as needed.
• Perform other duties to support credit portfolio management
