Job summary

BPI DIRECT BANKO, INC. A SAVINGS BANK is seeking a Credit Associate to assess repayment capacity and support credit decisions. The role includes field visits and participation in credit committee discussions to strengthen loan quality at the branch level.

The position requires a 4-year degree, 2 years in microfinance or banking, and readiness for extensive field work to verify information and build regional networks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 4-year degree in a business-related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in microfinance or banking with knowledge of individual lending.
• Familiarity with the branch community, main markets and local networks.
• Willing to do field work (95% of the time).

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications prepared by loan associates.
• Ensure data is accurate and of acceptable quality.
• Check applicant eligibility criteria.
• Conduct site visits to verify client premises and information.
• Identify discrepancies in loan applications.
• Submit for approval within the approved mandate.
• Participate in credit analysis workshops and develop case studies.
• Assist Credit Officer in setting quarterly and annual targets.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
