About the role

A CPA Accountant role responsible for managing financial operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information

• Manage tax payments

• Recommends financial actions by analyzing account options.

• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.

• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents and organizes internal audits.

• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

• Maintains financial security by following internal controls.

• Prepares payment by verifying documentation and requiring disbursements.

• Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.

• Complies with local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Help in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.

• Help in monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.

• Preparing quarterly and annual financial statements; assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable.

• Help in supervising accounting staff and if practicable train/coach them.

• Prepare annual Financial Statements for External Audit Preparation

• Point person when it comes to government reportorial requirements (BIR, City Hall-Business Taxes)

• Prepare Feasibility Studies for bank loan application.

• Coordinate with different financial institution for possible loan financing application (banks and other credit financial institutions) for cars and heavy equipment purchases.

About you

• Certified Public Accountant is required

• Proven work experience as Financial Accountant

• Minimum of 5 years Accounting experience in Real Estate or Construction Sector

• Advanced knowledge in accounting software (XERO is an advantage)

• Time management abilities
