Job summary

VGreen Charging Station Development Philippines Inc. seeks a Country Manager to lead strategic, operational, and commercial execution of EV charging and battery swapping deployments in the Philippines.

The role drives network expansion targets, ensures regulatory compliance, and manages P&L for the country. Based in Pasay, you will lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Business Development, building partnerships with government bodies and industry stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; MBA advantageous.
• 10–15 years in energy, infrastructure, EV charging, or related industries with large-scale deployment exposure.
• Strong stakeholder management across government, utilities, and private partners.

Job description

The Country Manager will lead the strategic, operational, and commercial execution of EV charging infrastructure deployment in the Philippines. This role is accountable for achieving aggressive network expansion targets, ensuring technical reliability, regulatory compliance, and financial performance of EV Charging Stations (EVCS) and Battery Swapping Stations (BSS).

Key Responsibilities:

1. 1. Strategic Leadership & Market Expansion - Develop and execute the country strategy for EV charging and battery swapping infrastructure, identify high-demand locations using data-driven site selection (traffic flow, EV adoption rates, grid accessibility) and build partnerships with property developers, utilities, government agencies, and fleet operators.
2. 2. Deployment & Infrastructure Delivery - Lead end-to-end rollout of EV charging and BSS infrastructure, ensure timely execution of site acquisition, permitting, construction, and commissioning, and oversee contractors, EPC partners, and technical teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.
3. 3. Operations & Technical Performance - Ensure uptime, reliability, and safety of charging and battery swapping networks, implement preventive maintenance and remote monitoring systems and ensure compliance with Philippine regulations, grid standards, and safety codes.
4. 4. Commercial & Financial Management - Drive revenue growth through utilization optimization, pricing strategy, and partnerships, manage country P&L, CAPEX, and OPEX aligned with expansion targets, evaluate ROI for infrastructure investments and optimize cost efficiency.
5. 5. Stakeholder & Regulatory Management - Engage with government bodies (DOE, ERC, LGUs) for policy alignment and permits, represent the company in industry discussions and EV ecosystem development and ensure compliance with environmental, energy, and data privacy regulations.
6. 6. Team Leadership & Capability Building - Build and lead cross functional teams (technical, operations, business development), set performance targets and ensure accountability across departments.
7. 7. Sustainability & ESG Responsibility - Oversee compliance with environmental regulations and ESG standards (e.g., DENR requirements), Collaborate with stakeholders to support sustainable mobility and green infrastructure development in the Philippines, and Ensure alignment with national energy transition goals.
8. 8. Leadership & Organizational Management - Directly lead and manage country-level department heads (e.g., Operations, Engineering, Network Development, Finance, Legal, and Human Resources), Set strategic direction, performance targets, and KPIs aligned with the company’s national expansion goals, drive cross functional alignment to ensure efficient execution of EVCS and BSS deployment plans, and establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability, technical excellence, and results delivery.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or related field), MBA or postgraduate degree in Business, Management, or Energy Systems is an advantage.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in energy, infrastructure, EV charging, or related industries, with strong exposure to large-scale network deployment and operations management.
• Strong stakeholder management across government agencies, utilities, and private sector partners.
• Proven leadership in managing cross-functional department heads (Engineering, Operations, Business Development, Finance, Regulatory Affairs), and Demonstrated ability in organizational leadership, transformation, and process optimization

Work Location: Pasay City

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday (9am to 6pm) - onsite & Saturdays (WFH)
