Job summary

IDOM Consulting, Engineering, Architecture, Sociedad Anonima Unipersonal is seeking a Cost Estimator/Construction Cost Associate Engineer/Preconstruction Engineer in Metro Manila with 5+ years of cost estimation and quantity surveying experience. • Must have valid professional license issued by the PRC.
• At least 5 years’ experience in Cost Estimation and QS activities.
• Proficient with DUPA and unit pricing estimation.
• Experience with quantity take-off, price estimates and bid documentation.
• Ability to read design drawings and contractual documents.
• Strong English communication, verbal and written.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and e-CAD.

• Write and manage technical specs, BOMs, and project manuals.
• Prepare unit rate analyses and take-offs for materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.
• Conduct market surveys and update Construction Cost Data with high data quality.
• Generate cost reports, variances, and multi-criteria analyses for projects.
• Prepare manpower and equipment utilization schedules.
• Maintain resource databases and project records.
• Coordinate with local and international design experts.

Job description

Cost Estimator/ Construction Cost Associate Engineer /Preconstruction Engineer with at least 5 years of experience specializing in cost estimation, quantity survey, and specifications preparation.

Job description:

• Prepare accurate, detailed, disciplined estimates, including developing scope of work, pricing, and labor schedules.
• Writing, updating, and managing technical specifications, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and project manuals compliant with industry standards and regulations
• Preparation of unit rate analysis for construction work items, along with all background/ breakup calculation. (quantity take-off of materials, labor, equipment & overheads)
• Conduct research, market survey, inquiries, data entry, and updates or enhancements to Construction Cost Data, ensuring high standards of data quality and accuracy, ensuring specifications are complied
• Generation of cost reports, variances and multi-criteria analysis, project presentations and related project reporting documents and deliverables.
• Preparation of Manpower schedule & Equipment utilization schedule.
• Organize and update resources database and historical info and maintain files and records.
• Interdisciplinary coordination with local and international design experts.

Job qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture
• Must have valid professional license issued by the Professional Regulation Commission
• At minimum 5 years’ pro-active experience in Cost Estimation and other QS activities i.e. documentation and bid preparation works, etc.
• Proficient with DUPA and other unit pricing estimation.
• With hands-on knowledge of, and experience with quantity take off, price estimate, bid documentations and procedures.
• Ability to read design drawings (Civil, Building, MEPS, Systems), schematics, and diagrams
• Ability to read and understand Commercial and Technical Contractual Documents
• Good & effective English communication skills both verbal & written.
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office, e-CAD

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in rail or urban infrastructure (stations, depot, highway, bridge) projects in the Philippines
