Job summary

HDEC DONGAH JOINT VENTURE is seeking a cost controller for the SCRP project in Laguna, Philippines. The successful candidate will monitor project costs, prepare cost reports, and support budget and financial control throughout the project.

You will collaborate with engineering, QS, contracts, and finance teams, maintain cost records, and evaluate variations. Relevant railway project experience and immediate availability are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in construction cost control or project commercial management.
• Knowledge of cost monitoring, budgeting, and reporting.
• Proficient with Excel and cost-control tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in construction and railway projects is an advantage.
• Willing to work on-site in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
• Able to start immediately.

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring project costs, preparing cost reports, and supporting effective budget and financial control throughout the project.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control project expenditures against approved budgets

• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and cost-to-complete analyses

• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of Main Contract Payment Applications

• Monitor and evaluate variations, including Variation Orders, Value Engineering, and Claims

• Coordinate with the engineering, quantity surveying, contracts, and finance teams

• Maintain accurate cost records and ensure compliance with project procedures

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field

• At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in construction cost control or project commercial management

• Knowledge of construction cost monitoring, budgeting, and reporting

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant cost-control tools

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Familiarity with construction contracts, project cost management, and commercial documentation

• Experience in construction and railway projects is an advantage

• Willing to work on-site and be assigned in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
