CDCC Builders Inc. is seeking a Resident Engineer – Project Control to join our Construction Management team in the Cebu area. The role focuses on cost and schedule monitoring, baselines establishment, and coordination with contractors to keep projects on time and within budget.
The successful candidate will track progress, analyze deviations, prepare control reports, validate schedules and changes, and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions for project efficiency.
Job Summary:
The Resident Engineer – Project Control is an integral part of the Construction Management team, responsible for overseeing cost and schedule monitoring and control for awarded construction packages. This role involves tracking project progress, analyzing deviations, ensuring budget and timeline adherence, and contributing to project reporting and documentation. The position plays a key role in coordinating with stakeholders to implement corrective actions and maintain project efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cost and Schedule Baseline Preparation & Control
Assist in the preparation and establishment of the project cost and schedule baselines.
Ensure that approved baselines align with contract requirements, project scope, and resource allocations.
Monitor project expenditures and progress against baselines, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions.
2. Cost and Schedule Monitoring & Risk Management
Track and analyze project progress in terms of cost, schedule, and resource utilization.
Review and validate contractor-submitted schedules, billings, and change orders to ensure accuracy and alignment with approved baselines.
Identify potential risks affecting project timelines and costs, providing recommendations for mitigation and recovery planning.
3. Reporting, Documentation, and Stakeholder Coordination
Prepare and maintain project control reports, including cost and schedule performance updates.
Document project delays, cost variations, and corrective measures for claims management and decision-making.
Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and the Construction Management team to ensure cost and schedule control measures are effectively implemented.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture (preferably), Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or any related field.
Required possession of relevant professional certifications or licenses.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management with a focus on cost control, scheduling, and project monitoring.
Strong understanding of project cost control, scheduling methodologies (Primavera P6, MS Project), and earned value management (EVM).
Knowledge of construction contracts, progress measurement, and change management.
Proficiency in project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost control tools (Excel, Cost Management Software).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for cost and schedule variance analysis.
Excellent communication and reporting skills for stakeholder coordination.
