Job summary

Zeta World Realty, Inc. is seeking a Cost Control Engineer to monitor project costs, budgets, and commitments across live sites. You will track expenditures, validate invoices, and ensure alignment with the approved cost plan, while coordinating with engineers, procurement, and finance teams.

The role requires a Civil Engineering or related degree, strong Excel skills, knowledge of BOQ/QTO, and vigilance in cost variance analysis. Site visits and accountability for cost records are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience in construction cost control, quantity surveying, project controls, or project cost management.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, QTO, project costing, construction materials, and contractor billing.
• Ability to analyze project costs, quantities, budgets, and variances.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage 300/AccPac or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Willing to be assigned to project sites and conduct regular site inspections.
• Licensed civil engineer is an advantage.
• Experience in residential housing, vertical construction, or large-scale development projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs against the approved budget, BOQ, and project cost plan.
• Track actual costs, committed costs, material usage, subcontractor costs, and project expenditures.
• Monitor project quantities and compare actual accomplishments against planned quantities and budget.
• Review and validate cost-related documents, including purchase requests, purchase orders, material issuances, delivery documents, and contractor billings.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Procurement, Warehouse, Accounting, Finance, and Contractors regarding project costs and commitments.
• Monitor project cost variances and identify potential cost overruns or savings.
• Prepare regular cost control reports, budget utilization reports, variance analysis, and cost forecasts.
• Assist in validating contractor progress billings based on approved accomplishments and supporting documents.
• Monitor project changes, variation orders, additional works, and their corresponding cost impact.
• Maintain accurate records of project commitments, actual costs, and remaining budget.
