Job summary

DMCI Homes in Taguig is seeking a Cost Estimator with a BS Civil Engineering background and 2+ years in cost engineering or quantity surveying. You will develop detailed cost estimates, prepare budgets, and produce BOQ/BOM for multiple projects.

Strong math and analytical skills, plus proficiency in MS Office, are required. You will monitor expenses, prepare cost reports, coordinate with subcontractors for billing, and support cross‑functional cost matters with engineering and other departments.

Qualifications

• BS Civil Engineering degree.
• At least 2 years of experience in cost engineering, quantity surveying, or related field.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specs, and project docs.
• Knowledge of basic cost estimation principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
• Prepare project budgets based on historical data, scope, and requirements.
• Produce Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM) for assigned projects.
• Monitor project expenses and track costs against budgets.
• Prepare cost reports and identify variances and improvement areas.
• Assist project teams with cost-related concerns and documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for billing submissions and with other departments on cost matters.
• Support value engineering initiatives by providing cost data and analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

Cost Estimation and Budget Preparation

• Develops detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs

• Prepares project budgets based on historical data, approved scope, and project requirements

• Produces Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM) for assigned projects

Cost Monitoring and Reporting

• Monitors project expenses and tracks actual costs against approved budgets

• Prepares regular cost reports and identifies potential cost variances and improvement areas

• Collects, records, and maintains accurate project cost data for reporting purposes

Project and Team Support

• Assists project teams with cost-related concerns and documentation requirements

• Coordinates with subcontractors for the processing and validation of billing submissions

• Coordinates with the Cost Controller Supervisor, Fit-Out Engineers, and other departments on cost matters

Value Engineering and Process Compliance

• Supports value engineering initiatives by providing cost data and analysis

• Ensures compliance with approved business processes, scope, standards, and specifications
