The Logistics Specialist is responsible for providing end-to-end logistics support with a strong focus on inventory control management, transport control tower operations, and ERP/logistics systems expertise. This role ensures inventory accuracy, transport visibility, system integrity, and data-driven decisions to support service level, cost efficiency, and compliance across the supply chain.
Monitor and control inventory levels across SFI warehouses and 3PL DCs to ensure accuracy, availability and optimal stockholding, support planning team initiatives, including safety stock, SMI aging, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory analysis, conduct and support cycle counts, wall to wall inventories discrepancies, identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions, ensure compliance with inventory policies, FIFO/FEFO, storage standards, and quality requirements, prepare inventory performance reports (accuracy, aging, discrepancies) and provide actionable insights.
Act as part of the transport control tower to provide real-time visibility of inbound, outbound, and interwarehouse movements, track shipment status, monitor delivery performance and proactively manage delays, exceptions and service failures, coordinate with transporter, 3PLs, warehouses and SFI CFT to ensure on time and complete deliveries, monitor performances such as Fill rate, cost per delivery and claims/deductions, support transport issue escalation, root cause analysis, and CI initiatives, ensure transport documentation completeness and compliance (invoices, DR, DDR, POD, billing support).
Serve as a key user and subject matter expert for ERP and logistics-related system, ensure accuracy and timeliness of logistics transactions such as GR, GI, transfers, deliveries, and adjustments, support system configuration, UATs, master data maintenance, and user access control related to logistics operations, generate, analyze, and interpret system reports and dashboards to support operational and management decisions.
Assist with other administrative duties, including preparing reports, maintaining files, and supporting warehouse operations, participate in company driver initiatives, programs and team building activities, perform other related tasks as assigned by the immediate superior.
