Job summary

Calamba Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support financial and operational decision-making through data-driven analysis. Responsibilities include cost reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and developing dashboards using Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Python.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to present insights clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, or Management Accounting is an advantage.
• Completed or currently taking a Data Science, Data Analytics, or Business Analytics course is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI, SQL, or Python is a plus.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to interpret data and present meaningful insights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost reports, budgets, and financial data.
• Conduct cost and variance analysis.
• Monitor departmental expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Prepare management and financial reports.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop dashboards and data visualizations for reporting.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar analytics tools.
• Support data-driven decision-making and process improvement.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, HR, and other departments to ensure accurate and reliable data.
