Job summary

Calamba Medical Center is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Cost Accountant who combines accounting expertise with data-driven analysis to support effective financial and operational decision-making.

The role involves preparing cost reports, budgets, and financial data, conducting cost and variance analysis, and developing dashboards using Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Python to inform strategic decisions across Finance, Accounting, HR, and other departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, or Management Accounting is an advantage.
• Completed or currently taking a Data Science, Data Analytics, or Business Analytics course is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI, SQL, or Python is a plus.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to interpret data and present meaningful insights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost reports, budgets, and financial data.
• Conduct cost and variance analysis.
• Monitor departmental expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Prepare management and financial reports.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop dashboards and data visualizations for reporting.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar analytics tools.
• Support data-driven decision-making and process improvement.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, HR, and other departments to ensure accurate and reliable data.
