Job summary

Shopee is seeking a Government & Stakeholder Engagement professional in the Philippines to develop and maintain relationships with government regulators and promotional bodies, advocating for the digital economy and ensuring regulatory alignment.

In this role you will map regulations, coordinate across internal teams for government-related campaigns, monitor outcomes, and provide data-driven updates to senior management while representing Shopee in official meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in e-commerce, logistics, fintech, telecom, or insurance is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English.
• Confident and professional when engaging with government officials and executives.
• Strong presentation abilities and ability to create decks and emails.

Government & Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop and maintain relationships with key government regulators and promotional bodies to advocate for the digital economy in Thailand i.e.help secure the government MoU
• Monitor and analyze relevant regulations and policies to ensure compliance and proactively identify opportunities or risks.
• Act as a primary liaison for government bodies, representing Shopee in official meetings, committees, or events.

Project Management

• Collaborate with internal teams and external government stakeholders to plan, execute, and monitor initiatives or campaigns that require government support or alignment.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure smooth planning and execution of government-related campaigns, including timeline management, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Track and analyze project outcomes, providing clear, data-driven reports to senior management.

Campaign Management

• Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and impact analyses on government or platform-level initiatives, ensuring accuracy and relevance of information.
• Prepare and present findings, proposals, and progress updates to senior management and other key stakeholders.
• Develop strategic plans and frameworks in partnership with Business Units, aligning them with Shopee's overarching objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Political Science, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in e-commerce, government relations, public policy, stakeholder engagement, project management, or regulated industries such as logistics, fintech, e-wallets, telecommunications, or insurance is highly preferred.
• Excellent command of both Thai and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident and professional when engaging with government officials, senior executives, and external stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to create and deliver high-quality decks, emails, letters, and verbal presentations.
• Strong project management and cross-functional coordination capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop practical recommendations.
