The Qualifications We Seek
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Management, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of experience in contract administration, legal review, procurement, or compliance
- Experience with healthcare contracts and U.S.-based organizations, an advantage
Technical and Process Skills
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management platforms, such as Symplr, Coupa, Workday, or SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including Track Changes and redlining, as well as Microsoft Excel and collaboration tools such as MS Teams and Outlook
- Strong understanding of legal language, contract clauses, and healthcare procurement standards
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work proactively, respond promptly, and operate independently within required U.S. Eastern Time hours
Work Schedule Requirements
- Availability to work Monday to Friday on a full-time schedule
- Ability to support operating hours aligned with U.S. Eastern Standard Time, typically 8:00 AM-5:00 PM EST
Your Daily Tasks
Contract Lifecycle Management
- Review new, renewal, and amendment contract workflows to ensure alignment with action types, contract naming conventions, and documentation standards.
- Verify contract metadata, including effective and expiration dates, contract descriptions, costs, and budget status, within the contract management platform (Symplr).
- Ensure all supporting documentation, including Word-format agreements, is properly uploaded and version-controlled.
Compliance & Legal Review Support
- Apply redlines and Track Changes according to the Contract Provisions Playbook, ensuring accurate legal entity names, payment terms, governing law, and indemnification clauses.
- Confirm payment terms by cross-referencing supplier data in Workday and ERP systems and apply the appropriate Net terms, such as Net 30 for ePayables and Net 45 for ACH.
Workflow Coordination
- Collaborate with phase owners and internal stakeholders through Symplr, Microsoft Teams, and email to obtain missing information, corrections, approvals, and unbudgeted spend justifications.
- Provide comments and recommendations on next steps, including routing workflows to the appropriate Category Managers.
- Decline or return workflows as needed to maintain data integrity and ensure audit readiness.
Document Management
- Download agreements for offline editing and re-upload updated versions with tracked changes.
- Ensure all contract changes are properly saved and updated in Symplr, with clear explanations and @mentions to notify relevant stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve contract turnaround times and reduce workflow rework through SOP enhancements.
- Partner with the onshore team to align offshore processes with strategic sourcing and compliance frameworks.
