Job summary

Avvoka, a legal-tech company, seeks a qualified lawyer in Manila with 2-3 years of drafting experience to turn precedents into automated templates on our no-code platform. You will apply legal judgment to shape documents with conditional logic and dynamic fields, working from briefs rather than rigid specs.

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years' experience as a qualified lawyer, ideally in a law firm or in-house legal setting, with hands-on drafting of commercial or transactional documents such as loan agreements, corporate housekeeping documents, engagement letters, purchase agreements, employment contracts, etc.
• Practice-area expertise developed from actual experience handling matters in finance, real estate, corporate, insurance, employment or similar.
• Strong logical thinking and a forensic eye for detail.
• Confident command of Microsoft Word styling, numbering, and formatting.
• Excellent communication skills to work with clients and with our Customer Success, Product, and Dev teams.
• A proactive, solution-focused mindset and real comfort with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Build and automate: Turn precedents into fully automated templates with conditional logic and dynamic fields.
• Quality-assure and refine: Test templates against complex scenarios and troubleshoot formatting or logic errors.
• Advise and specialise: Propose contract restructures for automation and develop area-specific expertise.
