HTLand, Inc. is seeking an experienced Contact Administrator to manage day-to-day contract administration for large-scale high-rise projects.
You will assemble records, support claims, and maintain a uniform contractual record across packages, while addressing EOTs and conducting delay analyses to support determinations. The role demands a strong MS Excel background, planning software literacy (P6/MS Project), and a senior presence to oversee Construction Managers on site.
The Contact Administrator role involves day-to-day contract administration on large-scale high-rise construction projects, including running notices, determinations, registers, correspondence, and maintaining the overall contractual record for site contracts.
Day-to-day contract administration: running notices, determinations, registers, correspondence, and the overall contractual record for site contracts
Claims and entitlement: assembling the record and preparing the technical case in support of claims, so that determinations can be made on entitlement raised on site
Maintaining a consistent contractual record: ensuring delays and contract issues are documented to a uniform standard across all packages, so the record can be relied on if a claim is contested
Extensions of time (EOT): ensuring extensions of time are addressed within the periods allowed under the contracts, protecting the project's position before a claim reaches its merits
Delay analysis: preparing and interrogating delay analysis to a standard that supports a determination, including establishing the as-planned and as-built position, concurrency, and the critical-path effect
Multi-prime and cross-area coordination: acting as the single point of contractual ownership where a contract straddles more than one tower or Construction Manager area
Termination and settlement: supporting the technical and factual basis for termination and settlement matters as they arise
Defects liability and closeout: administering the contractual requirements through the defects liability period and project closeout
Reporting and support: providing reporting and technical support to the Contracts Officer, and supplying the technical and factual basis on which Legal advice is given
Interface with contractors on site: acting as the direct management and escalation point for contractors — chairing commercial meetings and issuing instructions and determinations
10–15 years of experience in contract administration on large-scale high-rise construction projects
Technical background in engineering, architecture, or construction management
Demonstrated ability to prepare and interrogate delay analysis, including assessment of concurrency
Ability to independently derive and test a critical path, rather than rely on or accept a contractor-prepared critical path
Experience on multi-prime, complex projects where interface delay between contractors or trade packages has been contested
Strong site presence, with the aptitude and standing of a construction manager, sufficient to exercise contractual authority over Construction Managers on site
Seniority equivalent to a Construction Manager, given the technical and contractual authority the role carries
Demonstrated strong capability and skill in MS Excel, with proven use on past projects
Planning software literacy sufficient to interrogate a contractor's programme; advanced skills in P6 and/or MS Project is an advantage
