Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a hands-on Safety Officer to drive OSH compliance, risk management, and safety program development across a Lemery, Batangas project site. You will serve as Secretary to the Health & Safety Committee, manage meetings, minutes, and action items.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• At least 2 years in construction safety management.
• SO3 certification.
• Completed BOSH/COSH and Loss Control Management (LCM) or Training of Trainers (TOT).
• Certified First Aider.
• Willing to work in Lemery, Batangas.
• Project-based employment. Initial one year contract.

Responsibilities

• Advisory & Compliance: Serve as the primary safety advisor, ensuring full company compliance with OSH Standards and legal safety requirements.
• Committee Leadership: Act as Secretary to the Health & Safety Committee—managing meetings, minutes, action items, and reporting.
• Inspections & Risk Management: Conduct routine inspections to eliminate hazards, regularly update HIRAC assessments, and enforce Work Stoppage Orders (WSO) for high-risk, unmitigated hazards.
• Incident Management & Reporting: Lead incident investigations, track accident data, and prepare statutory safety reports (e.g., DOLE filings, monthly statistics, investigation reports).
• Training & Culture: Lead toolbox talks, coordinate employee EHS training, and issue safety bulletins and alerts.
• Emergency Preparedness: Establish and maintain the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and organize regular emergency response drills.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with subcontractors, site teams, and visiting government inspectors during compliance audits.
