Job summary

Don Lee Builders, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Associate to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for construction workers and assigned staff across multiple project sites.

The role includes collecting and validating time records, monitoring biometric attendance, and maintaining employee masterlists and 201 files. Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business/Accounting or related field is required, with 1+ year of payroll experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Psychology, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• Preferably at least 1 year of experience in payroll processing, timekeeping, biometrics monitoring, HR administration, or employee records management.
• Experience in a construction company or manpower-intensive organization is an advantage.
• Knowledge of payroll computation, attendance and timekeeping procedures, biometric attendance systems, employee deductions, and 201 file management.
• Familiarity with downloading, consolidating, checking, and reconciling biometric attendance records is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other office applications.
• Ability to handle and consolidate attendance and payroll records from multiple project sites.
• Detail-oriented and capable of identifying payroll and attendance discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll of construction workers and assigned employees accurately and within the payroll schedule.
• Collect, review, and validate Daily Time Records (DTR), timesheets, attendance reports, and other payroll documents from project sites.
• Monitor and manage biometric attendance records for all project sites.
• Download, consolidate, and review biometric logs for payroll processing.
• Check biometric records for missing time-in/time-out entries, incomplete logs, duplicates, absences, tardiness, undertime, and other discrepancies.
• Maintain updated employee masterlists, project manpower lists, and employee movement records.
• Assist in investigating and resolving payroll and attendance discrepancies raised by workers or project personnel.
• Create and maintain workers’ 201 files and other personnel records.
• Compute wages, overtime, holiday pay, allowances, deductions, payroll adjustments, and other payroll-related transactions.
• Encode and update payroll information in the payroll system or payroll monitoring files.
