Job summary

Mega Mykon Builders is seeking a Purchasing Officer to source and procure construction materials, equipment, and tools. You will evaluate supplier quotes, prepare canvass sheets and POs, and negotiate terms to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires 2–3 years in purchasing, preferably in construction, with strong negotiation and Excel skills. Collaboration with multiple departments and meticulous records are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Marketing, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related course.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
• Experience in sourcing construction materials and dealing with suppliers is an advantage.
• Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and basic material specifications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source and identify reliable suppliers for construction materials, equipment, tools, and other project requirements.
• Request, evaluate, and compare supplier quotations.
• Prepare Canvass Sheets, Purchase Orders (POs), and other purchasing documents.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Warehouse, Accounting, and other departments regarding purchasing requirements.
• Review material specifications, quantities, and delivery requirements before placing orders.
• Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
• Follow up pending orders, back orders, and deliveries.
• Maintain and update the supplier database and purchasing records.
• Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, availability, reliability, and delivery performance.
