Mega Mykon Builders is seeking a Purchasing Officer to source and procure construction materials, equipment, and tools. You will evaluate supplier quotes, prepare canvass sheets and POs, and negotiate terms to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The Purchasing Officer is responsible for sourcing, canvassing, negotiating, and purchasing construction materials, equipment, tools, and other company requirements. The position ensures that purchases are made at competitive prices, meet required specifications and quality standards, and are delivered within the required schedule.
Source and identify reliable suppliers for construction materials, equipment, tools, and other project requirements.
Request, evaluate, and compare supplier quotations.
Prepare Canvass Sheets, Purchase Orders (POs), and other purchasing documents.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Warehouse, Accounting, and other departments regarding purchasing requirements.
Review material specifications, quantities, and delivery requirements before placing orders.
Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
Follow up pending orders, back orders, and deliveries.
Maintain and update the supplier database and purchasing records.
Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, availability, reliability, and delivery performance.
Graduate of Marketing, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related course.
2–3 years of relevant experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
Experience in sourcing construction materials and dealing with suppliers is an advantage.
Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and basic material specifications is preferred.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Good analytical and decision-making skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Willing to coordinate with suppliers and project sites when necessary.
