Trans Phil Credit Corporation is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to source and purchase construction materials, tools, and equipment. The role requires actual purchasing experience, preferably in construction or engineering, and involves coordinating with suppliers, managing PR/PO processes, and ensuring timely deliveries.

The candidate will maintain supplier records, monitor costs, and work with site teams to meet project requirements while adhering to company policies and budgets.

Qualifikationen

• With purchasing experience, preferably in a construction, engineering, property development, or contracting company.
• Experience in purchasing construction materials, hardware, electrical supplies, plumbing materials, tools, equipment, and other site requirements.
• Familiarity with common construction materials and their specifications is preferred.
• Good negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of basic purchasing procedures and documentation.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple purchase requests simultaneously.
• Preferably with at least 1–2 years of relevant purchasing experience.

Aufgaben

• Assist in sourcing and purchasing construction materials, tools, equipment, and supplies based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to request and compare quotations, prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and process Purchase Requests (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and other purchasing documents.
• Monitor the status of orders and ensure on-time delivery according to specifications.
• Coordinate with project/site personnel regarding required materials, quantities, specifications, and delivery schedules.
• Search for and maintain a list of reliable suppliers and contractors for construction materials and services.
• Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing, better payment terms, and favorable delivery conditions.
• Verify the quality, quantity, specifications, and condition of purchased materials upon delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, quotations, invoices, delivery receipts, and supplier information.
• Assist in monitoring purchasing costs and project material budgets.
• Coordinate with Accounting regarding invoices, billing documents, and payment requirements.
• Assist in identifying alternative materials or suppliers when requested items are unavailable or exceed the budget.
• Ensure that all purchases comply with company policies, approved budgets, and required specifications.
• Maintain good working relationships with suppliers, vendors, project teams, and internal departments.
• Perform other purchasing and administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management.
