Outsourcey in the Philippines seeks an experienced Bid Manager to lead detailed estimates for residential and commercial projects. You will review plans, coordinate the bid process, and interface with vendors, project managers, and leadership to ensure profitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2.5+ years in bid management, estimating, or preconstruction in framing, construction, or general contracting.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specs, and contracts.

• Identify profitable opportunities, manage risks, and deliver competitive bids.

Profile Requirements:

• Proven Experience: 2.5+ years of experience in bid management, estimating, or preconstruction within the framing, construction, or general contracting industry.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and contracts, with a solid understanding of residential and commercial framing practices.
• Software Proficiency: Experience using estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and construction management platforms, with excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Project & Communication Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids and meet strict deadlines.
• Results-Oriented Mindset: Ability to identify profitable opportunities, manage project risks, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and consistently deliver competitive, high-quality bid submissions.

Core responsibilities:

• Prepare Accurate Estimates: Review project plans, specifications, and scope documents to prepare detailed and competitive framing estimates for residential and commercial projects.
• Manage the Bid Process: Coordinate the end-to-end bidding process, ensuring all proposals are complete, accurate, compliant, and submitted before deadlines.
• Analyze Drawings & Specifications: Interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings to determine labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor requirements.
• Solicit & Evaluate Vendor Quotes: Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, compare proposals, negotiate where appropriate, and incorporate the most competitive options into bids.
• Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with project managers, operations, and leadership to ensure estimates align with project capabilities, schedules, and profitability goals.
• Maintain Cost Databases: Continuously update pricing databases, labor rates, production costs, and historical bid information to improve estimating accuracy.
• Identify Risks & Opportunities: Assess project risks, clarify scope gaps, recommend value engineering opportunities, and highlight cost‑saving solutions without compromising quality.
• Track Bid Performance: Maintain bid records, monitor award outcomes, prepare reports on bid success rates, and identify trends to improve future win rates.
