Job summary

Outsourced.ph is seeking a highly motivated Trade Estimator Engineer to join our preconstruction team in the Philippines. You will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction trade packages, analyze project documentation, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to support bids and proposals.

Depending on experience, you may lead estimating efforts, mentor junior estimators, and contribute to estimating process improvements while ensuring compliance with company

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years estimating experience in construction.
• Senior level: 6-10+ years with leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for assigned trade disciplines.
• Prepare accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontract cost estimates.
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify project risks, cost drivers, and value engineering opportunities.
• Develop pricing strategies that support competitive and profitable bids.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and clients during the estimating process.
• Maintain estimating databases, cost histories, and pricing benchmarks.
• Prepare bid summaries, cost breakdowns, and estimate reports.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarification meetings as required.
• Assist with budget development during preconstruction.
• Support project handover by providing estimate assumptions and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
• For senior-level candidates, lead complex estimates, review junior estimators' work, and provide technical guidance to the estimating team.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction trade packages, analyzing project documentation, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and supporting the successful delivery of bids and proposals.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

Mid-Level

• 3-5 years of estimating experience in construction or a specialized trade.
• Proven experience preparing competitive project estimates.

Senior

• 6-10+ years of estimating experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading estimates for medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Experience mentoring junior estimators is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing.
• Excellent knowledge of quantity take-offs and cost estimating.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and shop drawings.
• Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Planswift, CostX, Trimble, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with project scheduling and procurement processes.
• Knowledge of local construction codes, standards, and market pricing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification (preferred but not required).
• Experience with BIM, digital take-off software, or ERP systems.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or residential construction.
• Knowledge of value engineering and cost optimization techniques.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday (11pm - 8pm MNL time)

Must Have atleast 20mbps internet connection

Must be wiling to work (Office-based)
