Job summary

Kubota Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Company Nurse to promote and maintain the health and safety of all employees. You will provide immediate medical care, manage health records, and support wellness initiatives across offices and warehouses.

The role includes developing health programs, monitoring employee wellness, and ensuring compliance with OHS regulations. A nursing degree and active PRC license are required, with preference for industrial health experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse with an updated PRC license.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Health Care Nurse in an industrial setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Preferably 50 hours of DOLE/EWC-accredited Occupational Health and Safety training.
• Experience with HMO administration and government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth).
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• The Company Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and safety of all employees within the organization. This role includes providing immediate medical care in the event of workplace injuries or illnesses, managing health-related concerns, promoting employee wellness, and maintaining health records. The Company Nurse will also assist in developing and implementing health programs and initiatives to create a safer and healthier work environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Medical Care and First Aid

• Provide first aid and emergency medical treatment to employees in case of illness or injury at work.
• Assess and monitor employees’ health conditions and provide appropriate care or refer them to a physician if necessary.
• Maintain medical supplies and ensure that first-aid kits are adequately stocked and up to date in all offices & warehouses.

Health and Safety Programs

• Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety programs and protocols in the workplace.
• Conduct health assessments and physical exams for employees, when necessary.
• Promote healthy lifestyle practices and conduct health education programs (e.g., vaccination drives, doctor’s consultation, health & wellness program, etc.).
• Support management in ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations in line with DOLE & DOH requirements.

Health Record Management

• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all employees.
• Monitor employees’ medical conditions and track any work-related injuries or illnesses, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements for employee health records.

Employee Wellness and Preventive Care

• Promote employee wellness programs, including mental health awareness, healthy living campaigns, and fitness activities.
• Provide counseling and support for employees with health concerns, including stress management and mental health support.
• Conduct regular health checks, including blood pressure monitoring, vaccination programs, and other preventive health initiatives.

Workplace Safety and Ergonomics

• Monitor workplace conditions and identify potential health risks or hazards.
• Work with the safety committee to ensure that the workplace meets health and safety standards.
• Advise on ergonomic practices and the proper setup of workstations to prevent injuries.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans, including protocols for workplace accidents, fires, or other health emergencies.
• Lead or assist in emergency drills and safety training programs for employees.

Collaboration and Reporting

• Collaborate with HR, Safety Officers, and management to address employee health concerns and promote a healthy work environment.
• Provide regular reports on health and safety activities, workplace injuries, and health programs to senior management.

Administrative Duties

• Maintain and update employee health records in compliance with privacy and legal regulations.
• Coordinate with external healthcare providers, clinics, or hospitals as needed for employee referrals or medical consultations, and annual physical exam.
• Assist with the administration of employee benefits related to healthcare, such as HMO enrollment, claims, and other wellness-related allowances and benefits.
• Support the documentation & coordination of HR with the manpower agency.
• PIC for the medical assessment during the hiring process.
• Management of the company clinic.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• A Registered Nurse with an updated PRC License.
• At least one year of experience in an industrial setting as a Health Care Nurse.
• Demonstrates good moral character and possesses excellent interpersonal skills.
• Preferably completed (50) hours of training in Occupational Health and Safety, conducted by a DOLE/EWC Accredited Training Organization.
• Preferably has experience and knowledge in the administration of HMO and government-mandated benefits such as SSS and PhilHealth.
• Strong presentation & communication skills, both verbal and written.
