Role Overview
We're looking for a detail-driven Community Association Accountant who works confidently in
Vantaca to own the books for a portfolio of U.S. HOAs. A big part of the role is bringing new associations on
board: validating the data that comes over, keeping reconciliations and reports accurate, supporting
budgets, and handing clean books to the operations team.
What You'll Do
- New Association Takeovers: Lead the accounting side of incoming associations by collecting records from the outgoing management company, loading owner balances and financial data into Vantaca, and confirming every opening balance ties out.
- Bank and GL Reconciliations: Reconcile operating and reserve accounts every month, review general ledger activity, and track down variances until they are resolved.
- Monthly Financials: Produce balance sheets, income statements and supporting schedules for each association's financial package.
- Budgets and Forecasts: Support the annual budget process, build forecasts, and report on budget versus actual results.
- Day-to-Day Association Accounting: Process assessments, payables, receivables and homeowner ledger activity in Vantaca.
- Pre-Handoff Review: Check records for accuracy and clear open items before an association moves to the operations team.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Partner with outgoing management companies and internal teams to request missing records and settle accounting questions.
- Audit-Ready Records: Keep files complete, well organized and ready for review at any time.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of accounting experience with U.S. homeowners or community associations.
- Day-to-day Vantaca experience is a must.
- Background in association takeovers, transition accounting or data migration is a strong plus.
- Solid command of bank reconciliations, general ledger review and financial statementpreparation.
- Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- A sharp eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem solving.
