Job summary

Outsourcedstaff supports a commercial builder delivering projects across Sydney and Newcastle. This Quantity Surveying role sits in the estimating team, owning takeoff and measurement across non-services trades to empower senior estimators for pricing and analysis.

You will perform detailed takeoffs from drawings, input into Cubit/CostX, and generate bills of quantities within tight tender windows. Familiarity with relevant standards (AU/NZ/UK) and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

Experience performing quantity takeoffs on commercial construction projects.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings independently.
Experience quantifying structural trades (concrete, steel, reinforcement, framing, cladding, finishes).
Strong attention to detail with the ability to self-check work before handover.
Clear written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed quantity takeoffs across non-services trades from drawings.
Produce accurate bills of quantities within tender timeframes (4–5 weeks).
Work through full drawing sets to identify scope inclusions, gaps and ambiguities.
Input quantities into Cubit or CostX and maintain structured workbooks.
