Commercial Director
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-oriented Commercial Director to lead the overall commercial strategy of our growing microfinance and lending organization. This role is responsible for driving portfolio growth, expanding market presence, strengthening commercial performance, leading regional teams, and ensuring the achievement of key business objectives nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial strategies across all regions and business units.
- Drive portfolio growth, client acquisition, revenue generation, and overall business performance.
- Provide leadership and direction to regional teams to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
- Identify market opportunities and develop expansion and growth strategies.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and key business performance indicators to support decision‑making.
- Lead, coach, and develop regional leadership teams to achieve commercial targets.
- Monitor portfolio quality, collections performance, and delinquency indicators to ensure sustainable growth.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and Risk Management to support business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives and periodic business review meetings.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Extensive managerial experience with a strong commercial and strategic background. Candidates whose experience is primarily operational without significant commercial leadership exposure will not be considered.
- Demonstrated job stability and a proven track record of delivering measurable commercial results over an extended period. The ideal candidate should have remained in previous organizations long enough to develop, implement, and achieve long‑term business strategies and objectives.
- Solid experience in sales strategy, business planning, organizational development, and leading large field‑based sales teams.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing growth‑oriented organizations and scaling commercial operations.
- Ability to lead a rapidly expanding business and manage a commercial organization projected to grow to approximately 1,000 employees within the next four years.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and decision‑making skills.
- Experience within microfinance, lending, financial services, or related industries is highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA or Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of six (6) years of senior leadership experience in microfinance, lending, banking, or financial services.
- Strong background in commercial management, business expansion, and portfolio growth.
- Proven experience managing large field teams and multi‑regional operations.
- Strong expertise in collections, negotiation, and fraud prevention.
- Extensive fieldwork experience in microfinance or lending operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fit and willing to travel extensively.
Screening Requirements
- Must be willing to undergo background and reference checks.
- Must disclose any pending, delinquent, defaulted, or unsettled loan or credit card obligations.
- Must be willing to work six (6) days per week.
- Must be available to work during holidays as required by business operations.
- Must be willing to work in a 100% onsite environment.
Salary up to PHP 250,000 per month plus incentives quarterly of the same amount.
