The role involves negotiating repayment arrangements, processing hardship applications, coordinating with external service providers, and maintaining accurate records of all collection activities.

You will work with a team, follow regulatory guidelines, and contribute to fair treatment of customers during collections processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in collections or credit control within financial services.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for sensitive conversations.
• Solid understanding of debt collection guidelines and privacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound communications with customers about overdue accounts.
• Negotiate compliant repayment arrangements with customers.
• Assess and process financial hardship applications per policy.
• Coordinate with external service providers to support collections.
• Maintain accurate records of communications and payment arrangements.
• Ensure compliance with Debt Collection Guidelines, NCCP and Privacy Act.
• Provide admin support to the collections team as needed.
