Job summary

AkzoNobel is seeking a senior distribution and sales leader in the Philippines to drive growth for International Paint products. You will manage a strategic distributor network, work with country sales, account managers, and TSR teams, and align with marketing on market trends and segmentation.

You will lead CPR initiatives, drive new product adoption, and deliver regular business reviews while optimizing distributor performance, training, and promotional spending. Travel 25–50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years minimum experience in protective coatings technical service or 10 years’ relevant experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Strong negotiation and networking skills with ability to build influential relationships quickly.
• Customer focus and results-driven with time management and planning ability.
• Ability to travel 25–50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Achieve yearly targets for Volume, Revenue and Contribution Margin.
• Manage and integrate a strategic Distribution network to support growth in the Philippines.
• Lead collaboration between Country Sales Managers, Account Managers, and TSR team with distributors.
• Develop CPR methodology with Country Sales Managers and Marketing for customer performance reviews.
• Provide leadership to distributors for new product adoption and IT system alignment.
• Deliver periodic business reviews and assist in growth and sales support plans.
• Monitor distributor performance, training, and marketing funds for growth opportunities.
• Gather market insights from distributors and customers to align products with market needs.
• Develop distributor/customer relationships based on business needs and technical language.
• Identify business opportunities/threats; evaluate contracting and market position.
• Coordinate distributor branding and promotions per Marketing direction.
• Support Stock/IT solutions with Supply Chain, and optimize SLOB and FIFO.
• Collaborate with Regional Technical Service to educate distributors on product requirements.
• Represent the company professionally and adhere to Code of Conduct and HSE policies.
