Job summary

Clario, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, is seeking a Financial Analyst to support clinical research project financial management across multiple studies. You will partner with Project Managers to monitor budgets, forecast revenue, oversee billing, and ensure accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

This role offers exposure to global clinical studies in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in financial reporting, accounting, bookkeeping, project finance, or financial analysis.
• Experience supporting financial activities within a project-based environment preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, forecasting, reporting, and data analysis.
• Experience working with financial management, ERP, project accounting, or project management systems preferred.
• Strong budgeting, revenue forecasting, invoicing, accruals, and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain financial trackers for awarded contracts to monitor revenues and budgets.
• Create and maintain funding agreements within financial systems to track commitments.
• Develop revenue forecasts including deferred revenue and pass-through considerations.
• Review budgets with Project Managers and draft change orders.
• Create billing schedules and ensure invoices align with client agreements.
• Update trackers and budgets for approved amendments and scope changes.
• Prepare and submit invoices and record all billable services and expenses.
• Record and recognize project revenue per company policies.
• Monitor actual fees and expenses against budgets and address variances.
• Support collections by communicating with clients on outstanding invoices.
• Prepare reconciliations, accruals, and ad hoc analyses.
• Maintain accurate financial records and timely reporting.
• Collaborate with finance, PM, and operations on process improvements.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
