Job summary

MainStreet seeks a meticulous Bookkeeping & Account Manager to support small business clients in Manila area, focusing on accurate bookkeeping, client communication, and proactive issue resolution. You will handle transaction categorization, reconciliations, and monthly reviews while serving as the primary contact for clients across chat, email, and phone.

Collaboration with Bench App, Salesforce, and Slack is required.

Qualifications

• Active QuickBooks Online certification is required.
• 1+ year of bookkeeping, auditing, or tax preparation experience.
• 1+ year of customer-facing or client service experience, ideally supporting U.S.-based clients.
• Excellent spoken and written English proficiency.
• Strong customer service mindset with ability to explain financial information clearly and empathetically.
• Hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online.
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Accurately categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain clean ledgers.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies with care and attention to detail.
• Conduct monthly financial reviews to ensure client books are accurate and up to date.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients via chat, email, and phone.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically to explain financial information to clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams using Bench App, Salesforce, and Slack.
