Job summary

HCM Nexus in the Philippines is seeking a Chief Product and Technology Officer to lead product and technology strategy across core banking platforms. You will oversee product management, engineering, QA, architecture, and IT operations while partnering with executive leadership to deliver scalable fintech solutions.

You will drive end-to-end delivery, oversee security, reliability, and performance, and build high-performing teams across product and engineering.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience leading Product Management and Engineering/Technology in financial/fintech.
• Strong understanding of core banking systems, API-based platforms, cloud/hybrid infrastructure.
• Experience delivering regulated financial products (loans, payments, onboarding).
• Experience managing executive-level roadmaps, governance, and transformation programs.
• Knowledge of security, risk, audit, and regulatory compliance in fintech.
• Ability to use product analytics and financial data to prioritize investments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business or related field.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen.
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment balancing strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the integrated Product and Technology vision and roadmap, aligned with business and commercial objectives.
• Lead the end-to-end technology development lifecycle from discovery and design through development, testing, release, and post-launch optimization.
• Drive innovation initiatives involving AI, new products, APIs, payment platforms, and digital financial solutions.
• Oversee the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of core banking and supporting technology platforms.
• Strengthen production monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and service recovery processes.
• Lead and develop high-performing Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture, and IT Operations teams.
• Establish effective delivery governance, including roadmap reviews, sprint execution, release management, and operational reviews.
• Collaborate with commercial and implementation teams to improve partner integration, time-to-launch, and overall service reliability.
• Build relationships with relevant industry and regulatory stakeholders and monitor emerging trends in payments and financial technology.
• Partner with executive leadership to define product priorities, technology investments, and long-term platform strategy.

About you

• 15+ years of relevant experience, including significant leadership experience managing multidisciplinary product and technology teams.


• Proven experience leading both Product Management and Engineering/Technology functions in a bank, fintech, payments company, digital lender, or similar technology-driven financial organization.


• Strong understanding of core banking systems, API-based platforms, software development lifecycle, systems architecture, cloud/hybrid infrastructure, and production operations.


• Experience delivering regulated financial products such as loans, payments, collections, onboarding, or digital/white-label banking solutions.


• Demonstrated experience managing executive-level roadmaps, delivery governance, incident management, and transformation programs.


• Strong knowledge of security, risk, audit, and regulatory compliance in financial technology environments.


• Ability to use product analytics, operational metrics, and financial data to prioritize investments and measure business impact.


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.


• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen.


• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment while balancing strategic priorities with execution.
