Job summary

OSM Thome is seeking a seasoned Chief Engineer (C/E) for cement carrier operations worldwide. You will take full charge of the engine department, ensuring safe, efficient operation and reliability of all machinery across global routes.

You must hold a Valid STCW Chief Engineer (Motor) license, have C/E or strong 1/E experience on bulk carriers, and possess solid knowledge of engine room maintenance, safety, and English communication skills. At-sea contract.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW Chief Engineer (Motor) license for seagoing vessels.
• Experience as Chief Engineer or strong 1/E on bulk carriers.
• Good knowledge of engine room operations, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Valid medical certificate and required STCW safety training.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engine room team.
• Operate, monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries and all technical systems.
• Operate and maintain cement cargo discharge and conveying systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company procedures.
• Maintain engine room logs, records and reports.
• Coordinate with the Master and other departments on all technical matters.
