Job summary

COLUMBIA SHIPMANAGEMENT is seeking a skilled Engine Room Leader to join our expanding fleet. You will lead the Engine room team to ensure smooth operation of engines and machinery, with responsibility for repairs and dry docking as needed.

Candidates must hold valid STCW certifications, demonstrate strong English communication, leadership and a safety-focused mindset. Minimum experience: 4 months in the same vessel type (Suezmax) with ME engines over 10000KW, and familiarity with steam turbines

Qualifications

• Holder of valid STCW certifications is required.
• 4 months in Rank on the same vessel type (Suezmax) and engines type ME (Electronic over 10000KW output) is the minimum experience.
• Experience with steam turbines cargo pump system is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engine room team to ensure smooth operation of engines and machinery.
• Oversee repairs and dry docking as needed.
