Job summary

OSM MARITIME SERVICES, INC. invites qualified Electro Technical Officers to join our fleet of bulk carriers trading worldwide.

You will oversee safe operation and maintenance of electrical, electronic and automation systems, supporting navigation, cargo operations and vessel performance. We seek holders of valid ETO CoC and STCW, sea-going experience, English proficiency, and ability to work on a worldwide rotation.

Qualifications

  • Valid ETO CoC and STCW certificates for service at sea.
  • Sea-going experience as ETO, preferably on bulk carriers.
  • Strong knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems.
  • Good command of English, spoken and written.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor and maintain electrical, electronic and automation systems on board.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in power generation, distribution and control systems.
  • Maintain and test navigation, communication and engine control equipment.
  • Carry out planned maintenance and keep technical records up to date.
  • Support safe cargo and ballast operations from an electrical/automation perspective.
  • Work closely with the Master, Chief Engineer and deck/engine teams to ensure safe vessel operations.
