Job summary

BDO Unibank is seeking a Chargeback Issuing Officer to mitigate operational risk by timely and accurate resolution of cardholder disputes, in line with international standards for retrieval and chargeback processing. The role focuses on second-level dispute resolution, monitoring cases, and ensuring compliance with brand rules, with on-site work at Ortigas.

The ideal candidate has a four- or five-year business-related degree and at least 3 years of chargeback experience in a banking environment,

Qualifications

• Graduate of a four- or five-year course, preferably business-related.
• At least 3 years of chargeback experience in credit card business or banking.
• Willing to be assigned and work on-site in Ortigas.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and resolve second-level disputes and chargebacks.
• Monitor and resolve cases in accordance with disputes guidelines and standards.
• Ensure compliance with brand rules and policies to avoid operational losses.
• Monitor and process cases filing.
• Provide timely status of AR and AP GL schedules and resolve float items on time.

The Chargeback Issuing Officer is responsible for mitigating operational risk and preventing or minimizing losses through timely and accurate resolution of cardholders' disputes and ensuring compliance with the Brand's international standard time frames for retrieval and chargeback processing

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes and accurately resolves second level dispute and chargebacks
• Monitoring and timely resolution of cases and should be according with established disputes guidelines and standards
• Ensures compliance with brand rules and set policies and procedures to avoid operational loss/lapses
• Monitors and processes cases filing
• Timely escalation and resolution of issues
• Provide timely and accurate status of AR and AP GL schedules, ensuring transparency and resolution of float items on time

Qualifications

• Graduate of four or five year course, preferably Business-related course
• At least 3 years chargeback experience in credit card business or banking institution
• Must be willing to be assigned and work on-site in Ortigas
