Job summary

Littelfuse is seeking a Characterization Lab Manager to build and lead a new lab in Lipa, Philippines, directing engineers and technicians to characterize SiC/Si devices and support next-generation power semiconductors.

You will own test specifications, automate measurements, develop SOPs, and collaborate with global teams to ensure safe, efficient lab operation and high-quality data for datasheets and design docs. International travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in power semiconductor characterization, including SiC and Si-based technologies.
• Strong background in electrical measurements using oscilloscopes, parameter analyzers, PXI systems, and related equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of measurement circuit design, including high-speed switching and thermal behavior.
• Knowledge of IEC 60747 and JEDEC JESD14 for power semiconductor characterization, including thermal measurement methodologies.
• Proficiency in automated test development using scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C/C++/C#.
• Experience with PCB design and test fixture development.
• Deep understanding of fast di/dt and dV/dt events and their implications in test environments.
• Ability to design or collaborate on test circuitry for advanced setups (e.g., surge pulse testing).
• Experience defining and maintaining laboratory equipment strategies, calibration management, maintenance planning, upgrade roadmaps, and CapEx planning.
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety, EHS requirements, high-voltage/high-current test risks, and controlled measurement practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead characterization and verification of power semiconductor devices to ensure full functional coverage.
• Collaborate with design leaders to define test specifications and verification plans.
• Develop and maintain automated test setups to improve efficiency and repeatability.
• Analyze data and generate technical reports for datasheets and internal design docs.
• Lead SOP alignment across all characterization sites and ensure safe operation of lab infrastructure.
• Plan and ramp up a new characterization laboratory, including equipment planning and capacity management.
• Provide day-to-day leadership for engineers and technicians and coordinate tasks.
• Travel internationally to support knowledge transfer and global projects.
