Job summary

Globe Telecom, Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a Lead Technical Platform Strategist to bridge business strategy and engineering execution, driving platform rationalization and governance of CapEx.

You'll oversee platform lifecycle, manage technical debt, and coordinate with Enterprise Architecture, IT Development, and Broadband teams to align roadmaps and ensure operational continuity.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of modern software development and programming concepts.
• Hands-on familiarity with telecom and cloud enterprise platforms (BSS, Netcracker, MYCOM OSI, AWS, GCP).
• Strong IT financial management and cost-benefit analysis for platform rationalization.
• Ability to translate technical constraints into business risks and strategic plans.
• Excellent communication between technical leads, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end platform lifecycle, tracking enhancements, integration, replacements, or retirement.
• Represent the business in technical discussions and assess opportunities to rationalize core platforms.
• Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture and IT Development on roadmaps; coordinate with Broadband teams.
• Track Non-Network CapEx spend and govern technology expenditures.
• Maintain visibility on platform performance and communicate issues to preserve business continuity.
• Evaluate AI tools, modern architectures, and cloud services to improve ecosystem efficiency.

Role Summary

The Lead Technical Platform Strategist acts as the bridge between business strategy and engineering execution. This role is responsible for driving platform rationalization, managing technical debt, and governing CapEx spend on IT systems.

• Platform Lifecycle & Governance: Oversee the end-to-end platform lifecycle, tracking systems for enhancement, integration, replacement, or retirement to maximize business value and reduce technical debt.
• Technical Representation: Represent the business in all technical discussions, assessing opportunities to augment, rationalize, and streamline core software platforms.
• Roadmap & Stakeholder Alignment: Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture and IT Development teams on integration and replacement roadmaps, while managing internal coordination within Broadband for platform functional requirements.
• Financial & Spend Control: Track Non-Network CapEx spend against capability build projects and maintain continuous governance over technology expenditures.
• Operational Performance & Continuity: Maintain complete visibility on IT platform performance (uptime, downtime, and resolution timelines) and communicate system issues in a timely manner to preserve business continuity.
• Technology Modernization: Evaluate and incorporate AI tools, modern programming architectures, and cloud services to enhance overall ecosystem efficiency.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Deep Technical Background: Solid understanding of modern software development, programming concepts, and applied AI/ML integration.
• Platform & Ecosystem Knowledge: Hands-on familiarity with telecom and cloud enterprise platforms, specifically BSS, Netcracker, MYCOM OSI, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of IT financial management, project-level CapEx governance, and cost-benefit analysis for platform rationalization (a major plus).
• Strategic & Critical Thinking: Exceptional analytical capabilities to translate complex technical constraints into business risks and actionable strategic plans.
• Communication: Proven ability to interface seamlessly between technical development leads, enterprise architects, and non-technical business stakeholders.
