Job summary

Magnum Ice Cream Company in the Philippines is seeking a Cell Lead (First Line Manager) to guide a cluster of semi-autonomous teams, ensuring governance and performance monitoring. You will support overtime allocation, working patterns and dispute resolution while retaining responsibility for operators within the team.

You will lead improvements across operational processes and interpret diagnostics to identify risks, driving end-to-end quality and efficiency in a fast-moving consumer goods

Responsibilities

• Provide governance for a cluster of semi-autonomous teams and oversee performance monitoring.
• Support for overtime allocation, working patterns, and dispute resolution.
• Retain responsibility for Technical and Basic Operators within the semi-autonomous team and monitor performance.
• Lead improvement projects for operational processes and eradicate losses using ICMS methodologies.
• Interpret technical diagnostics in chemical and electro-mechanical processes, identify issues and risks.
• Drive the team’s work and counter losses by applying ICMS/IP processes.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, HR, Quality and Safety to ensure clear, consistent communication across the factory.

The Role

The Cell Lead (First Line Manager) is a management professional with a good technical understanding of manufacturing, general or chemical engineering or food technology.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Provide the governance function for a cluster of semi‑autonomous teams, delivering
• management and leadership support for performance monitoring, overtime allocation, working patterns and dispute resolution.
• Retain responsibility for the Technical and Basic Operators within the semi‑autonomous team but is not involved in the day to day team management beyond the monitoring and performance management role.
• Lead improvement projects for operational processes
• Interpret technical diagnostics in chemical and electro‑mechanical processes and controls, identify key issues, and process risks
• Drive semi‑autonomous team’s work and eradicate waste to counter losses by using their ICMS methodologies and IP Processes.
• Provide common standard of communication and engagement across the factory. You will liaise closely with the core factory functions, including Manufacturing, Engineering, HR, Quality and Safety to achieve this.
