About the role

Equicom Savings Bank, Inc. is seeking a Cash Management Officer.

This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in managing the bank's liquidity, cash flows and financial operations.

As Cash Management Officer, you will be responsible for optimising cash positions, managing payment and settlement systems, and ensuring efficient movement of funds across the organisation. This role is essential to maintaining the financial stability and operational efficiency of our institution.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage daily cash positions and liquidity levels to ensure optimal utilisation of funds and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Oversee payment and settlement operations, including processing wire transfers, clearing house transactions and interbank transfers
• Reconcile bank accounts and conduct regular cash flow forecasting to identify funding requirements and investment opportunities
• Develop and implement cash management strategies to minimise costs and maximise returns on idle cash balances
• Maintain relationships with correspondent banks and clearing institutions to facilitate smooth fund transfers and settlements
• Prepare daily cash management reports and provide analysis to senior management on cash positions and market conditions
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines and central bank requirements relating to treasury operations
• Identify and elevate operational risks or discrepancies in cash management processes
• Support the development and maintenance of cash management systems and procedures
• Collaborate with other departments including operations, accounting and risk management to align cash management objectives

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in cash management, treasury operations or banking operations roles
• Strong knowledge of payment systems, settlement mechanisms and banking operations
• Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial software applications
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Sound understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in banking
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively across teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial analysis tools

• Experience with risk management and liquidity forecasting is an advantage
