Job summary

Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital seeks a Shift Officer to lead nursing teams and ensure high-quality patient care across units during a designated period.

You will partner with the Unit Manager to address clinical and administrative needs, and you will establish strong coordination with other departments to streamline health care delivery and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS Nursing degree is required.
• Master’s degree unit or equivalent.
• PRC Nursing licensure (board passer) required.
• Two years of direct patient care in Medical‑Surgical or specialty.
• Three years of head nursing experience.
• BLS, IVT and ACLS certificates required.

Job description

Principal Responsibility: The Shift Officer is responsible in managing the nursing staff and deliver quality patient care within all nursing units for the duration of an assigned period. He / She is tasked to collaborate with the Unit Manager in addressing clinical and administrative needs and concerns relative to nursing care while maximizing the tools of management in facilitating quality patient care. He/She also establishes a system of effective coordination and communication with other departments within the hospital for a more systematic delivery of health care.

Qualifications:

• Must be a BS Nursing graduate
• With Master’s Degree unit
• Must have participated in and passed leadership and management seminars in clinical nursing
• Must have two (2) years direct patient care in Medical-Surgical and/or area of specialty
• Must have three (3) years of head nursing experience
• Must be a PRC Board Passer (Nursing Licensure)
• Must have a Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate/ID
• Intravenous Therapy (IVT) certificate/ID
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate/ID
