Job summary

Universal Robina Corporation Sugar and Renewables in the Philippines is seeking a Technical Engineer to provide technical expertise for CAPEX projects in the sugar milling facility. You will execute engineering solutions, coordinate with project teams, and ensure compliance with technical specs and quality standards throughout CAPEX implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with focus on mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering preferred.
• Demonstrated experience executing CAPEX projects in manufacturing or industrial settings, including maintenance and repair planning.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to analyze issues, identify root causes, and craft CAPEX solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of regulations, codes, and standards for equipment design, installation, and operation.
• Familiarity with CAD software, simulation tools, and engineering analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project estimation, budgeting, and financial control for CAPEX projects.
• Analyze budgeting and accounting reports to monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Create and manage purchase requests for materials, equipment, and services.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to obtain quotes and ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with Design and Planning Lead, Mechanical Planners, and Electrical/Instrumentation Planners to develop plans and specs.
• Support Project Managers and Supervisors to ensure adherence to schedule, cost, and scope.
• Provide technical expertise to resolve issues and ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
