• Prepare and cook a variety of meals based on the approved menu and recipes.
• Plan and organize daily food preparation activities.
• Ensure that all meals meet established standards for quality, taste, and presentation.
• Check the freshness, quality, and availability of ingredients before cooking.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the replenishment of kitchen supplies.
• Ensure proper food storage, temperature control, and handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Follow established food safety procedures and applicable health regulations.
• Control food portions, minimize wastage, and support cost-effective kitchen operations.
• Supervise and guide kitchen helpers and other food service personnel when assigned.
• Ensure timely preparation and serving of meals according to cafeteria schedules.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure its proper and safe use.
• Report damaged equipment, food shortages, and other operational concerns to management.
• Assist in menu planning and recommend improvements to food offerings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
