Job summary

Lola Cafe in San Juan City, Metro Manila, is hiring a Shift Manager to lead our cafe team during busy service hours. This full-time role focuses on delivering excellent customer experiences, maintaining service standards, and driving smooth daily operations.

As shift leader, you will supervise staff, train new teammates, manage stock and POS transactions, uphold food safety, and report shift results to management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or management role in hospitality or cafe operations.
• Strong leadership and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent customer service with professionalism in challenging situations.
• Knowledge of food safety, inventory, and basic financial handling.
• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cafe operations during your shift, including customer service and food/beverage prep.
• Lead, supervise and coach team members to maintain service standards and policies.
• Train new staff and provide ongoing development opportunities.
• Monitor cash handling, process transactions, and reconcile registers.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are met and food safety is compliant.
• Manage inventory, place orders, and minimise waste.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organised cafe environment and report shift activities.
