Job summary

DATEM INC. in the Philippines seeks an Architect to coordinate technical details across Architectural, Structural and MEPFS works, and to prepare body plans, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent with CAD certifications, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in MS Office, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit and Archicad. Strong planning, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the TSG Head the technical details of Architectural, Structural and MEPFS works of the project.
• Prepares Body Plans, Wall Setting-out Plans, Shop Drawings, As-built Drawings, and all other plans and drawings assigned to the department.
• Attends technical meetings.
• Prepares and issues minutes of the meeting and agendas.
• Reviews the Architectural, Structural, and MEPFS plans.
• Reports discrepancies or design issues between the Architectural, Structural, and MEPFS plans to the Project Manager. He/she shall prepare the necessary clarificatory documents.
• Monitors and follow-up the resolution of the discrepancies or design issues in the Construction Drawings. Reports to the TSG Head the delays in the resolution of the design issues.
• Prepares rough estimates of architectural works included in the project contract.
• Monitors work accomplishment of direct subcontractors and prepares the corresponding status reports.
• Monitors the RFA & RFI schedule and critical milestone dates to ensure the timely completion of the project.
• Advises the TSG Head of any constraint that may be a cause of delay in the completion of the project and recommends appropriate solutions to the problem.
• Recommends value engineering or cost-saving measures to the TSG Head and Project Manager.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities from time to time.

Qualification and Skills Requirement

Educational Attainment:

• bachelor’s degree in architecture or Technical/Vocational and equivalent

• With certifications related to CAD

Work Experience:

• 2 years of experience Technical Competencies:

• Knowledgeable in MS Office, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Archicad

• Advanced proficiency with relevant desktop applications

• Knowledgeable in reading construction plans and drawings
